ValueShield® Dealer Redemption/Reimbursement Process

Dealer Redemption Process

  1. Appraise the Optioned Vehicle and establish actual cash value.
  2. Establish that the Optioned Vehicle was involved in a Reported Accident:
    • The accident appears on the CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ (or other similar VIN history service report); OR
    • The Customer provided a copy of the insurance claim. This can typically be obtained online or by calling the insurance carrier’s toll-free phone number; OR
    • The Customer provided a copy of the police report.
  3. Establish the repair amount:
    • Customer provided a copy of the body shop estimate; OR
    • Customer provided a copy of the invoice (repair order bill).
  4. Visit ValueShieldAuto.com/redeem.
  5. Click on “CALCULATE OFFER”.
  6. Follow the simple instructions and enter the required information to generate the ValueShield® Offer.
  7. Print the ValueShield® Offer.
  8. If Customer accepts the ValueShield® Offer, advance the ValueShield® amount.
  9. Follow the Reimbursement Instructions (at right) to obtain reimbursement by the Administrator, Total Warranty Services.

Reimbursement Instructions

1. Submit the Required Documentation listed below to the Administrator:

A. Proof of a Reported Accident from #2 in the Dealer Redemption Process:

i. Copy of the CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ (or other similar VIN history service report); OR
ii. Copy of the insurance claim; OR
iii. Copy of the police report.

B. Proof of Repair Amount from #3 in the Dealer Redemption Process:

i. Copy of the body shop estimate; OR
ii. Copy of the invoice (repair order bill).

C. Copy of the ValueShield® Offer.

D. Copy of the buyer’s order for the new vehicle OR if the Customer did not purchase/lease another vehicle, a copy of the signed odometer statement and proof of title reassignment.

2. Payment will be received within 7 business days.

All capitalized terms used herein shall have the meanings set forth in the related ValueShield® agreement (“Agreement”). Refer to the Agreement for complete terms and conditions.
